Kirkland Lodge #150
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist with the first year tuition for qualified Kirkland-area high school students who wish to enroll in a two-year or a four-year degree program at a college or university in Washington State. Selection will be based on the following:
• Academic achievements
• Community activities
• School activities
• Employment experience
We will award a scholarship of $1000 to one qualified graduating student from each of these three local high schools (Emerson High School, Juanita High School, Lake Washington High School). The student must be accepted to a 2-yr. Or 4-yr. degree program at a Washington State school accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (see http://www.nwccu.org/Directory%20of%20Inst/State%20Map/Washington/Washington.htm for a list of accredited institutions offering baccalaureate degrees).
The scholarships will be paid to the college or university directly to the student’s account to help pay for tuition. Students receiving scholarships will need to provide a student ID number once received from their respective school so we may deposit the funds into their account.
